Easter Bonnet Parade

Mini Vinnie’s is after school club associated to the St Vincent de Paul Society. They meet every week to discuss how we can become more aware of and help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. A couple of months ago we were discussing local issues particularly homelessness. We decided to have a fund raising event for the local homeless charity, St Mungo’s and an Easter Hat parade was decided upon.

We raised £73 and would like to thank those children and carers who helped to make it a fantastic parade.

Mini-Vinnies and National Skipping Day

Part of our mission as a Catholic school is to support those people who need our help. The Mini-Vinnies (who take inspiration from St Vincent de Paul) are always looking for opportunities to support ’the common good’.

This term they have combined their fundraising with national skipping day. Pupils will be able to take part in a skipping competition for 10p a try. The proceeds this term will go to the British Heart Foundation.

Mini Vinnies

This morning, juniors were very pleased to welcome Dee Mansi, a member of the St Vincent de Paul society (SVP), who came to do an assembly to talk about Mini Vinnies.

'Mini Vinnies' is the name for a St Vincent de Paul Group for primary aged children.

Dee explained to us all the importance of helping those who are much less fortunate than us.
