Steve McQueen Year 3 Tate Project

During the Summer term, the children in year 4 took part in Steve McQueen’s Year 3 Tate Project (A once in a lifetime opportunity). The children were photographed alongside their class teacher and TA’s.
This exciting exhibition was unveiled in November 2019 and will continue until May 2020.

The children in year 4 had the opportunity to view their class photo in January and took part in a workshop. They had an enjoyable day and were so delighted to see themselves displayed at Tate Britain!

Year 5 Nativity

Kelvin Okafor

Kelvin Okafor visited our school recently to give his personal congratulations to one of our Year 6 pupils, Given, who had come second in the borough's Black History Art competition. Kelvin was so impressed with the artwork and the passion and dedication shown by Given that he awarded him with a set of his very own art materials, to encourage him to continue on his art journey. We were honoured to have Kelvin give up his time to come and visit us and, as a former pupil of St Francis de Sales, he is always welcome back!

Remembrance Day

On Monday 11th November, the Year 6 children went to Tottenham Cemetery. At eleven o'clock they had a 2 minutes silence to remember all of the soldiers that had died to restore peace in our country.

At the beginning of the term  some children were lucky enough to go and meet Kelvin Okafor at one of his exhibitions. Some were so inspired by his work they picked up a pencil and began drawing.
