Reconciliation with Fr David Lucuy

Home Learning

While the children have been working at home, they have been given the opportunity to write prayers to share with our school community.

Dear God

Please make this horrible disease go away.

Please take care of the earth and make this coronavirus go away.

Please make my entire family be okay,  bless all my friends and all the Teachers.

Please make all the lonely people in the world happy and give them some food and a home.

Please help me to be kind  and helpful to others always,

Lord protect my Mum and Dad please  and help me to be a very clever boy.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen

Dear God,

I would like to thank you for keeping the world as safe as you could from the pandemic. Although many had to die. You did your best and I am happy just for that.

I also want to thank you for the school that we go to, because the teachers there have to put up with so many mean and rude classes and some children. Some had to switch up classes because of the nonsense in the classes. This saddened many teachers as well as students.

Please may you give those teachers courage to deal with the class and for the rest of the school... to share and be kinder. Lastly, I thank you for everything that you have done. Thank you for my life and the people in it.

Coronavirus impacts all of us. But love unites us all. Pray for our neighbour far and near. Even in the darkest moments, love gives hope. Now it is clear that our futures are bound together more tightly than ever before. For health workers tending the seriously ill, for the scientist working on a vaccination, for the researchers analysing data and identifying trends, for the media outlets working to communicate reality, for the supermarket workers, hygiene and sanitation providers, for the good news stories of recoveries and effective planning, for the singing from balconies by locked-down communities. ‘For I am convinced that neither death, Loving God, strengthen our innermost being with your love that bears all things, even the weight of this global pandemic even the long haul of watching for symptoms .And may your love that never fails continue to be shared through the kindness of strangers looking out for each other, for neighbours near and far all recognising our shared vulnerability, each of us grateful for every breath, and willing everyone to know the gift of a full and healthy life. Keep us all in your care.

Amen
