The Common Good

Our school actively engages in charitable outreach which benefits not only those in need but also our pupils by developing their social responsibility.

Cake Sale

The Faith Ambassadors raised £210 for Haven House Children's Hospice by organising a cake sale after school.

Thank you to all the parents/carers who came and supported it.

Wrap Up London

This year, for Advent the Faith Ambassadors suggested that we participate in the Wrap Up London initiative this year.  This is an excellent scheme that asks for members of the public to donate old and unwanted coats (still in good condition) to various Tube stations across London. The coats are then distributed to the homeless, refugees and victims fleeing domestic violence. We decided to host our own collection at school over a two-week period. Our Faith Ambassadors then loaded them into a car before they were taken to a Wrap Up London collection point.

The generosity of our school community was truly overwhelming! ! A massive thank you to all who contributed to such a worthy cause as the days and nights grow colder.

Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2023

Dear St Francis de Sales

Many thanks to you, the staff, and all the pupils and parents of your school for your donation to our poppy appeal this year.

I wish to advise you that we have counted and checked all the monies collected under the strictest of controls and am delighted to advise you that it totalled an amazing: -

£886.17

Your support for all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and the survivors and families, will be truly appreciated, and we hope to maintain a close relationship with you in the future.

I would like to convey to the children that their participation was a selfless act of devotion which will have a positive effect on so many who need support.

My kindest regards,

Colin Middleton

Matiri Mission Appeal

As a school we suppprt the Matiri Mission Appeal.  We are now sponsoring a young boy called Paul Mathuure to continue his education.

Harvest

Our school community collected gifts to share with those who are struggling.  This morning the Faith Ambassadors helped load a car with all the donations for our Harvest Festival. The generosity of the families in our school has been so overwhelming.  Everything was taken to a local food bank, Tottenham Foodbank. The group were extremely grateful. Well done to everyone. Your efforts will help a significant number of families over the coming weeks
